No Rocks Are Dead (NRAD)

Change can emerge from the way we see and engage with the material world.

In the context of climate change, my work explores how everyday objects, materials, and systems hold the potential to influence our thinking and actions. It invites curiosity about the connections between what we use, how we use it, and the impact it leaves behind.

Inspired by Jane Bennett’s Vibrant Matter: A Political Ecology of Things (2010), which considers the vitality of objects, this series reflects our relationship with materials. It moves beyond a human-centered perspective, opening space for questions about interconnectedness and the role of objects in shaping our surroundings.

Each piece is handmade, uniquely crafted from fired clay and ceramic glaze—an exploration of material, process, and the shifting nature of our interactions with the world around us.
